ADVENTURE!

1860's Metal Lined Privy

It was a cold but very spirited day. We started on a big cistern but after seeing that it would be about 3 or 4 more hours of work and getting just a few bottles , we decided to go to another spot and it pays off for us. Here are a couple of pictures from the cistern.

Buddy starting the hole and Mike inside ! Then the start of the privy that we discovered.

About 3 feet down we came up with a nice Yellow Cunningham & Ihmsen Pitts whiskey cylinder.

Then this whiskey Jug jumps up.

Buddy likes showing it too.

Mike gets in and recovers a nice sized utility bottle.

Then 2 more bottles show up - a 7" Mansfield & Higbee Memphis Medicine and a little 3 1/2" amber druggist rectangular square Robinson Apothecary Memphis. Both are hard to find in this style and color.
