We have one of these jugs, too. It is a nice 2 gallon beehive jug. I wish we could find something about it.

I have several whiskey jugs and miscellaneous bottles, mostly from Memphis, that I'm interested in selling. Is there a reliable outlet you would recommend, or would you be interested in seeing them?

I am working in Memphis the next few days and was wondering if you are in the process of digging a privy. I would love to see one being dug. I live in Middle Tennessee and I am a member of the Middle Tennessee Metal Detecting Club. Thanks, Cheryl

Hey Tony. It's good to see someone as yourself enthused about the history of our area. And to answer your question, I have found 1 perfume bottle marked " Lucky Heart ". It measures about 2" in height. It is shaped kind of like a triangle with a little design throughout the bottle. A friend now has it but if you like I could still get a few pictures and send them to you. Call whenever , you can and I'd be more than happy to do that for you. Mike 901-364-0563

Hi, Found your website while doing research on old Memphis pharmacies. I am writing a book on African American folk practices in Memphis and am focusing on early businesses that sold Hoodoo related merchandise and medicines such as Lucky Heart and Collins Laboratories. Have you ran up on any obscure finds related to any of these labels or others?

Hey guys I love the website. I collect Diehl & Lord bottles and am trying to hunt down some of their Memphis bottles. I finally got my hands on a Diehl & Danbury hutch but am looking to collect some of the others. Im looking for any "2Lords & Diehl", "Lord, Diehl & Danbury" bottles. My wife is a member of the Diehl family (who happened to marry a bottle collector lol)Would you happen to have any you would be willing to part with?

Just dug up a bottle in perfect condition (except no paper label) that has these raised words embossed on one side: WITSELL BROTHERS MEMPHIS, TENN. 5.5" high x 1.25" wide and .5" thick. I measured the amount of contents it could hold and the measure was one ounce. So far, a Google search has turned up nothing about the company. I would like to date the bottle and know what the company marketed in these bottles. Thanks in advance for any info you can pass along.

Hi,
I found a bottle that is embossed with the word "WE-LI-KA" and wonder what you can tell me about it. I found one other similar bottle and was told that is was made in Memphis. That's all I know about it.
