Big Wet Cistern

Here's the Clipped Corner Belt Plate that we found on a lot near here. It is missing the attachment hooks on the back and is bent a little but is very sturdy. (front & back).

We started this Cistern last week and decided to get some help on it  so we decided to invite some old time diggers - Park and Lou .

This is where Buddy started it last week

Park getting into the cistern in search of some marked Jugs.

Lou gets in next and starts digging like a mad man!

Park and Buddy on Bucket detail. At this point we are digging several common bottles but nothing worth getting any photos of.

Lou gets back in and takes it down some more.

Park , Lou and Buddy looking down from above. This week we found mostly common bottles with the exception of a broken 1860's Memphis Blob soda and Medicine just like the Churchill that we found last week in a privy.and a nice 32oz crazy farm medicine - I'll get back to you with the exact name. Getting ever closer to the bottom , we found lots of glass and different debris and bucket after bucket loads of water. We went ahead and covered it and will finish it up next week hopefully with more pictures.
