Preserving the Excitement of Bottle Digging!

New Pepsi Cistern 2

Here's some of the bottles that we were finding.

2 Memphis Apothecary bottles. Hamner - Ballard Drug Company and Robt R. Ferrell Mclemore & Rayburn.

A big Regal Medicine Co.

The marked Jug in the Cistern Floor as Tom uncovered it and holding it proudly.

A closeup: A.S. Barboro & Co. /  355 Main St. / Memphis - Tenn. A nice half gallon jug from Memphis.

We found 3 different varieties of Pepsi's. The first one is a nice amber Pepsi. The second is a very rare variety that is in aqua and about the same height. It has an additional Pepsi - Cola on the front shoulder in bubble type letters and above the Pepsi Cola script  is " Capacity 7 Oz ". The third one may even be rarer than the second. It is a taller bottle with the same Pepsi script at the base but it has a little lesser bubbly letters on the front shoulder and also on the back shoulder. Unfortunately we found 4 of this second type all had bruises - the other aqua one had cracks and bruises and the amber one was in all right shape. Fa La La - La La La La !!

10 Bitters next week.
